Does The Grand Californian have connecting rooms? We're travelling with grandparents so we want to be near without the added expense of a suite.

Hello Andrea. Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for dropping by with your question.

The Grand Californian Hotel and Spa has connecting rooms. We love having connecting rooms when traveling with grandparents as well. When making your hotel reservation, you can request to have connecting rooms. There is no guarantee you will have connecting rooms, but Cast Members will try to accommodate Guests' requests. Many factors come into play, such as whether school is in session, ADA accessibility or medical needs, time of check-in etc. I recommend calling Grand Californian Hotel and Spa a few days prior to your arrival to indicate your request again. Checking in early can also be helpful. Once, we checked in late to the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. Despite our request for connecting rooms, it was during peak summer travel time and our family was unable to get connecting rooms. However, Cast Members made sure we were only two rooms apart, still making it convenient for my kids to spend time with their grandparents in-between our time at the parks.

I hope you'll find this information useful as you plan your upcoming family trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, Andrea. Please visit me on the Panel again if you have further questions.

    Sending you Pixie Dusts,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
