How does Grad Nite at Disneyland work?

Hi there, Noemi! Welcome to planDisney!

I was so happy to see the return of Disneyland Grad Nite this year after the magic was put on pause for the Classes of '20 and '21! As someone that grew up on the East Coast, I cannot imagine having the chance to celebrate my graduating class and all of our accomplishments at the Happiest Place on Earth! Exclusive access to favorite attractions (including Avengers Campus!), fun treats, photo opportunities, and even more magical memories for that senior year. While the dates for the 2022 Grad Nite celebrations have passed, you can certainly look forward to the event hopefully returning in 2023!

Grad Nites take place on select nights in May and June when Disney California Adventure Park closes to the general public and graduating seniors get to take over for one very magical night! This year, registration opened at 2 p.m. PST on August 31st, 2021 for the Class of '22. Tickets do go quickly, so if you are interested in booking for your graduating seniors, I do recommend starting the registration process early! This year, there were 16 dates available across May and June, with three ticket offerings for each:

    • Grad Nite Private Party Experience at Disney California Adventure Park, which included full access to the party starting at 9 p.m.
    • Full Day Admission to Disney California Adventure Park + Grad Night Private Party Experience, which means your seniors could spend their entire day in the park and stay for the private party starting at 9 p.m.
    • Disneyland Resort Park Hopper + Grad Nite Private Party Experience, where your seniors could hop between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park during the day and then head into the party in the evening.
Ticketing for these special events is organized by the Disney Imagination Campus and must be made by a School Official or a Travel Planner. If you are a School Official, you can fill out the registration form to start the process of organizing tickets for your graduating seniors where you will need to submit your top three, preferred dates. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with the Group Travel Operations Cast Members at 800-232-7980 or email them at DLR.Lead.DEPT@disney.com for more information.

For those of us looking for a little throwback or for those of us that didn't get to attend a Grad Nite, Disneyland After Dark: Grad Nite Reunion sure hit the spot! Offered on three nights this past June as a special ticketed event, anyone and everyone could celebrate that high school spirit from a Goofy led pep-rally to special photo opportunities - picture Mickey and Minnie in a cap and gown! - to some tasty cafeteria-inspired treats. My best piece of advice is to follow the Disney Parks Blog and the @DISNEYLAND Instagram account to find out when these fun special events are happening!

Noemi, I know this was a lot of information! If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow panelists! We are always here for you at planDisney!

    Magic awaits,
    Tara
