Will Grad nights be returning for 2022? If so, are the dates available yet? Try to plan a trip that will avoid the grad nights if possible. Thanks.

Hiya, Michele! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

Your June visit to the Happiest Place on Earth will be here before you know it, and I couldn’t be more excited for you! I did some research, and discovered that yes, Grad Nite is returning this year. According to the Disney Imagination Campus website, Disneyland Resort Grad Nite 2022 is returning on the following select dates in May and June:

    May 13, 14, 18, 20, 21, 25, 26, 31
    June 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 17

So, depending on how long you’d like to stay at the Disneyland Resort, it looks like your visit may overlap with Grad Nite on June 7 and possibly June 8. But, if this is the case, not to worry! Depending on their ticket type, Grads can be in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on each of those days, but the specially-ticketed Disneyland Grad Nite Private Party Experience will begin at 9:00 PM at Disney California Adventure Park on those select nights. So, if you’re visiting Disney California Adventure Park on those days, expect for the park to close to regularly-ticketed Guests around 8:00 PM. If you plan on purchasing Park Hopper tickets, I would suggest starting your days at Disney California Adventure Park on the 7th and 8th, and ending them at Disneyland Park in order to avoid the earlier closure at Disney California Adventure Park. Or, if you’re opting for a One Park Per Day ticket, I’d select Disneyland Park on those days in order to experience a full day at the park.

I also recommend checking back on the Entertainment Schedule around April 24 – that’s when you should be able to see the Schedule for your arrival day of June 5 (schedules are updated about six weeks in advance). There, you'll find park hours, show times, and any attractions scheduled for refurbishment.

I don't know about you, but I'm so excited for the return of some of our favorite nighttime spectaculars! You're visiting just in time for the return of Fantasmic!, the Main Street Electrical Parade, World of Color, and Disneyland Forever fireworks... so get ready to light the night this summer!

I hope this information helps as you begin planning your magical Disneyland Resort adventures, Michele! Please stop by with any additional questions… we’re all EARs!

    Happy planning,
    Kristin
