Hi!! What is Grad Night? We will be at WDW Aprril 20-27. Should we avoid that park? Thanks so much for your help!!

Hi, Michelle!  Grad Night is a high school seniors only event that takes place after hours at the Magic Kingdom.  The event runs select nights from eight o'clock in the evening until two o'clock in the morning, and features music, celebrities, and the red carpet treatment for high school seniors.

The seniors must be there as part of a group, and they must have chaperones with them.

I have been at Walt Disney World before during Grad Night season, and I think you'll be fine in the parks during the day.  Many of the seniors are from local high schools, and they come for the event only.  I think because the event runs until the wee hours of the morning, the kids avoid the parks during the day so they can rest up and get ready.  Many of the kids get all decked out for the event, as there is a dress code in place - although jeans and t-shirts are allowed.

As of right now, the only Grad Night event that is sold out during your visit is April 24.

    Have a great vacation!
