How much grace time do you have for a restaurant before you're considered a "no show"

    Hi Maryellen!

This question made me laugh out loud when I read it!  I spent the last weekend at Walt Disney World with two of my friends, and we had a conversation about this very situation.

I am chronically early for everything and have mild anxiety when I think I am going to be late!  So, when traveling with my family, I adhere strictly to the "arrive 15 minutes prior" to all of my dining reservations ... if not even earlier!   However, on this past trip, we were about five minutes late to our reservation for breakfast and it worked out just fine.

I think that the answer to your question depends on several factors.  1.  How late you are.  2.  How big your party is  3.  How full the restaurant is.

If you arrive 15 - 20 minutes late and explain yourself to the hostess, they will probably look your reservation up and then put you back on the list.  You will most likely have to wait longer for the next available table, but again, this will depend on your party size and restaurant capacity.

Obviously, being on time would be ideal, but if you are running a few to 20 minutes behind, I wouldn't worry too much!  Disney will try to seat you as soon as possible, but those varying factors will definitely come into play.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
