What's the grace period regarding Dining Reservations? Up to what time can I cancel a Dining Reservation without incurring a fee?

Hey Howdy Hey Emmanuel and welcome back to planDisney!

Thank you for your question about Advanced Dining Reservations and cancelations policies. These have recently been changed and I will be happy to give you an update on the recent changes.

Recently Disney has updated their policy about cancelation for dining reservations. Currently, you have the option to cancel your reservation 2 hours or more from the time of your reservation without incurring a penalty. If you were to cancel less than 2 hours from your reservation, you will be charged $10 per person which would be the same charge if you did not show up either (prices subject to change). In most cases, you should be able to modify or cancel your dining reservations right from your My Disney Experience app which is super easy to do. All dining locations do have their specific policy when it comes to cancellations so make sure to check specifically with that location with their cancelation policy. This usually applies to locations outside of the parks which may have subtly different policies compared to other locations.

There are so many ways that your My Disney Experience app can help navigate you through your day during your vacation that it would be super helpful to get familiar with it. One tip I wanted to share with you revolves around Mobile Dine Check-in. If you have dining reservations for a location, you should be prompted when the time of your reservation is near to check-in through the app for it. You can select your reservation and navigate through some questions about your party's needs and the hosts will be notified and come and get you when your table is ready! So easy and convenient if you are running a little behind for an extra picture with a character or heading over from an attraction.

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your Magical vacation in a few short weeks. Keep us posted if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!
