Hiya Megha! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
I'm so glad to hear you are planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! There is nothing quite like the thrill of planning a vacation, is there? It often feels like, within minutes of dropping bags in the door after my latest trip to Walt Disney World, I've already popped my laptop open to book another visit! What can I say? The magic is always calling me!
Now, to your question, Megha! I went ahead and reached out to Guest Relations on your behalf to look into this for you. In speaking with the helpful Cast Member there, I’ve learned that as long as your government-issued ID does not reflect a last name, you should be just fine! If you’ve purchased will call tickets, when you go to pick them up, just make sure you have your ticket confirmation handy, just in case they need that in addition to your government-issued ID.
Now, if you’ve purchased
your theme park tickets online, they will already be linked to your
My Disney Experience account. If not, you’ll want to make sure you get those linked up before your trip. You will have received a ticket order confirmation email when you purchased your tickets, so the first thing you’ll need to do is locate this email. On the upper right-hand corner of the confirmation, you will see a bar code with a long number underneath - this is your ticket ID number. Once you have that, you can easily link the tickets in your My Disney Experience app by going to "Tickets and Passes." Then, click on "Link Tickets & Passes" and enter the number under the barcode manually or click on "Scan Code" to scan the bar code from your confirmation. Then, you will be all linked up and ready to go!
If you're visiting any time throughout 2022, you are in for a special treat as you will get to join in the fun of
Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration. There are special celebratory sprinkles of pixie dust across the resort in honor of the big five-o, including the stunning
Beacons of Magic located at each of the four theme parks. You have never seen the theme park icons quite like this before, having been transformed with EARidescent color and light. My favorite is the spectacular projection on The Hollywood Tower Hotel at
Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you look close enough, you'll see some of the hotel's haunting guests enjoying a dance in the ballroom at the top of the hotel. Walt Disney World Resort Guests aren’t the only ones joining in on the celebration!
I hope this has been helpful to you! As you continue to prep for your upcoming visit, know that we are here to help you make the most of your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation. So, please visit us again with any questions you may have.
See you real soon!
