    Veronica from CA Asked

I have gotten a few Disney gift cards for Christmas for my next Disney World trip and I was wondering if I would still get a DVC discount if I used a gift card to pay instead of cash or credit?

"Welcome home," Veronica and thanks for stopping by planDisney!

Veronica, as a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member who always has at least one Disney Gift Card in her wallet, I am excited to chat about your question.

Veronica, I'll start with the quick answer: YES! You are able to pay with a Disney Gift Card and still receive a discount through your Disney Vacation Club Membership and in fact, I have done this many times. Make sure to carry your "blue card" with you and have it handy to show your server at a Table Service restaurant or the Cast Member when you're purchasing those Minnie Mouse Ears at the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. (or any other participating shopping location around the Walt Disney World Resort). I'll also encourage you to browse through the list of Member Benefits HERE where you can confirm what is currently available. AND... if you don't see a specific restaurant or shopping location listed, don't hesitate to ask! You never know when the discount is available and just not highlighted on the website.

Veronica, I hope this helps as you are planning for your March vacation. Since you'll be using those Disney Gift Cards, take a moment and read through this question answered by my friend and fellow panelist, Shantel. She talks through how to use those gift cards when placing a Mobile Order

Best wishes, Veronica, for a pixie-dusted stay. Please come back with any other questions you might have. We are all EARS,

    Lauren
