Can we use a gopro on the water park rides even if we don't have a wrist/body strap?

    Hi Chelsea!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I have seen many Guests at Walt Disney World Resort using GoPro cameras to document their vacation. I think it's a great idea!

The camera itself is not on the Restricted Personal Items list. As you can see on the list; drones, tripods and selfie sticks (extension poles) ARE prohibited.

However, I would recommend getting a strap for your camera for two reasons. First, to keep your camera safe. Some of those rides are intense and you would risk your camera slipping out of your grip and possibly injuring you or someone else. Second, Cast Members do have the right to ask you to put it away if they feel something like that could happen. I've never seen them do it to someone with a GoPro, but if you were on a big slide or in the giant wave pool, they may feel like safety is a factor.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
