Hi there Honghao!
Thanks for snapping your question over to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Documenting my family’s visits are a huge part of our
Walt Disney World Resort memories. Growing up, my dad always had a gigantic video camera connected to his hand and its carrying case wrapped around his waist. My sisters and I would joke and giggle about his videoing obsession and his need to document every little thing. Now as a mom myself, I finally get it. I’m so thankful for those home videos of us in the
Parks and continue to thank my dad for preserving those Magical Memories.
On our most recent trip, my sisters and I surprised my dad with his very own GoPro. He loved how small it was and it was much easier for him to record now, then it was years ago. Since
Property Rules prohibits selfie sticks and hand-held extension poles for cameras or mobile devices, I would not recommend bringing your Shorty. Both my husband and dad bought GoPro accessories that allowed them to strap their GoPro to their bodies. My husband used his Chesty and my dad used his GoPro Hat Mount. Keep in mind that some
attractions have signage stating that photography is not allowed, so they just put their GoPros away for those attractions. For safety purposes, you may also be asked to remove the GoPro from your body so I recommend bringing a carrying case to hold and store your camera in.
Even with both my husband and dad filming, there were plenty of times where they both were living in the moment and forgot to snap a photo or hit record. This is why I highly recommend adding
Memory Maker to your
vacation package! Memory Maker includes unlimited digital downloads of all your
Disney PhotoPass photos and videos. Including those from certain attractions and select Character Dining photos. Don’t forget to ask for Magic Shots!
Say Cheeeese!
