Hi Tiff, welcome to planDisney!
We all have a little Goofy in us that comes out to play at Walt Disney World Resort. My Goofy side shines brightly during impromptu dance parties on Main Street, U.S.A., and in Haunted Mansion attraction photos. My "goofs" occasionally require a phone call or quick visit to
Guest Relations during my park days. Let's work through the next steps for your situation together.
I understand you accidentally assigned two tickets to your daughter in My Disney Experience. Hakuna Matata! Wholly unused tickets can typically be reassigned to members of your Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience using the "Reassign Ticket" dropdown menu on the
"Tickets, Passes, & Memory Maker" tab of your account. This task can also be completed in the
My Disney Experience mobile app, though I understand the "Reassign Ticket" is grayed out on your device. If your daughter happens to have her own My Disney Experience account, she is the one that needs to reassign the ticket from her account. If your daughter has a My Disney Experience account profile managed by your account, you shouldn't have a problem reassigning the ticket to you. That being said, there are times the "Reassign Ticket" option has not worked for me in the app but I was able to accomplish my goal online. Just recently a panelist pal experienced a similar problem and the "Reassign Ticket" button appeared after a good night's rest and an app restart.
My first recommendation is to just keep trying to reassign the ticket online and/or in the My Disney Experience mobile app. If you're still having trouble, a friendly Cast Member at the
My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ number would be glad to assist. Cast Members are available 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. EST. They're also available via online chat on the Walt Disney World website; look for the chat icon on the right side of the screen.
I have one last thought about your situation, Tiff. Take a look at your
Family & Friends List. If you see your daughter's name twice, the duplicate account or account profile should be deleted once the misassigned ticket situation has been solved. Duplicate My Disney Experience accounts can cause planning confusion on your park days, which I learned from one of my own goofs!
Gawrsh it's been fun chatting with you today, Tiff. Hope to see you planning Disney at planDisney again soon.
