Goodmorning! I am trying to book a reservation for next year in November and am having trouble finding a room big enough for family of 6.... 2 adults 4 kids also it does not allow dining plans is that correct?

Welcome to planDisney, Marina! I am so happy you are here.

You came to the right place! I have several ideas for your larger party. One of my favorites is the Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Here you can choose from three differently decorated room styles; The Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo! You can also choose not to designate a specific theme at the time of booking for a bit of a discount, and your room theme will be a fun surprise when you arrive! These rooms feature 1 Queen Bed and 1 Double-Size Table Bed, and 1 Double-Size Sleeper Sofa. You would also have a small kitchenette area with a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. Don't forget the microwave popcorn! A nice perk with these rooms is that they also have two bathrooms, which helps us get out the door faster in the morning and on to our day of magic and fun! The Art of Animation Resort is also located right on the Disney Skyliner route, allowing quick and easy transportation to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

A second option for you is a stay at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Your private cabin in the woods offers the best of glamping! These cabins provide 1 Queen Bed and 1 Bunk Bed, and 1 Double-Size Sleeper Sofa. They only have one bathroom, but the trade-off is a full kitchen with a stove. I like cooking big breakfasts for my family in the morning when we stay here. As a mom of two teen boys, it is sometimes a lifesaver to fill them up before our day begins; it buys me a bit of time before the inevitable - "I'm hungry, Mom!" There are also so many fun resort activities at Fort Wilderness; you will want to plan a resort only day during your trip!

A third option you may find that could work well for your family is to book two standard rooms at any Value, Moderate, or Deluxe Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. This choice will give you two bathrooms and at least four beds. Some moderate and deluxe hotels also offer an additional sofa or pull down sleeper that would work well if you have older children traveling with you. My favorite Moderate Resort with a pull-down sleeper is Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside, and my number one Deluxe Resort with an additional daybed is Disney's Yacht Club Resort. The best way to book two rooms would be to call a Disney Resort Hotel Reservations Cast Member (407) 939-1936. Due to your adult/child ratio, they may be able to do this for you under one reservation, but it is not a guarantee.

The Disney Dining Plan is currently paused due to the current global situation we are experiencing. If it does come back after you have booked your Vacation Package, you can easily add it via your My Disney Experience account or by calling.

Marina, I know I gave you a lot of options! If you have any additional questions about your hotel choice or anything else regarding your family's magical vacation, please come back and visit us again.

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
