Hi there, and welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for sending your question our way. You must be excited about your summer adventure to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. Let's discuss how to secure
theme park tickets for your visit.
You are correct; from your home in the Netherlands, you can purchase admission for a minimum of two days in the theme parks. Suppose you aren't interested in extending the Walt Disney World portion of your travels (two days would allow you to explore another theme park or return to
Magic Kingdom Park). In that case, I recommend contacting an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner (travel agent) or purchasing single-day tickets for your family when you arrive in the United States.
Once you are in range, you may be able to buy single-day tickets on the
My Disney Experience mobile app. You can try this from home, too, but it might not work based on your location. If you aren't successful on the app, you can purchase tickets at the Transportation and Ticket Center en route to Magic Kingdom Park or at the ticket window just outside the entrance. Ideally, if it fits your schedule, to save time on the morning of your visit and to have the best chance for availability, I suggest securing tickets at least the afternoon before your planned day at Magic Kingdom Park at the Disney Ticket Center at
Disney Springs.
Quick tip: If you do find yourself at Disney Springs, make
Gideon's Bakehouse your first stop; the cookies, cake, and cold brew here are legendary, but you might need to snag a spot in the virtual queue and come back for sweets before leaving.
I hope this has been helpful, and I wish you a wonderful holiday in Walt Disney World and wherever your travels take you. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, and have a magical day!
