When is good time to visit as far as crowd levels? I’ve seen 2 different crowd calendars (I know they are just estimates) but they are completely different from each other. We have been considering the week before Memorial Day and the week after 07/04.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lisa!

My family and I have visited Walt Disney World Resort at all times of year, and had wonderful vacations every time.  I'm not trying to be coy when I say the BEST time to visit is anytime that works best with your family's schedule.  It looks like you have narrowed down your calendar to late May or early July.  While I do not have the powers of Madame Leota to see into regions beyond, I'll give you my own opinion based on my experience.  If it were up to me, I would choose May.  The weather at that time will not yet have reached the peak temperatures of summer, and the month of May generally has less rainfall than July.  Many families prefer to take their vacations during the summer and other school breaks.  Since most schools are still in session prior to Memorial Day, in my mind May is again the better choice.

Holidays such as Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve tend to be very busy but also extremely fun times to visit.  When I am visiting Walt Disney World during busy times, I plan to arrive at the Theme Parks very early to enjoy attractions with lower wait times. I then take a long break in the afternoon for a quiet meal, some rest and relaxation, and perhaps a dip in the pool.  I'll return to the Theme Parks in the evening and stay until close, when crowds have diminished quite a bit.  I think this strategy works well even during less busy times of year.

I hope that helps!  If you need other suggestions regarding a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stay, Disney Dining Plans, ticket information, or dining recommendations, please visit the Moms Panel again any time.
