Do you have any good strategies for tackling the parks over a busy season (Columbus Day-Fall Break) with young children ages 8-10? We plan to do MK, HS & AK. Thank you, Natalie

Hey there, Natalie, and welcome back to planDisney!

It looks like you've got a friend in me while you plan this October visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. It's my honor to help you make all the magic that y'all can. While Fall break can be a bit busy, Taylor is my name, and strategy is my game. Let's put together a game plan and get you and the family going!

Before we talk about anything else, my number one recommendation is to get an early start. You'll want to be at the park ready to rope drop to try to hit some of the biggest attractions before everyone else. Beat the crowds there, don't meet the crowds there.

Now that we've got that little bit of mousekeeping out of the way, it's time to talk Lightning Lanes. I think it would definitely be worth it to purchase this add-on to maximize your time in the parks. Check out which attractions are included in the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and which require the purchase of Lightning Lane Single Passes, and choose which works best for your family's needs.

Pro-tip: Instead of getting too bogged down in the old trap of trying to accomplish every little thing, have each child choose 1 to 2 attractions that are important to them and focus on those. That way, everything else you do is, as we say in Louisiana, lagniappe or a little extra gift.

Natalie, I hope y'all have the most magical time. If you have any other questions, you know where to find us!

    Happy planning!
