What is a good restaurant for a picky toddler in the disney springs area that takes disney dining plan credits? visiting soon and the endless options are overwhelming for me to sift through.

    Hi Alexandra!

Welcome to planDisney!  You're just a few weeks away from your Walt Disney World Resort vacation and it's time to get all of those Donald Ducks in a row so your family is ready to enjoy a magical visit!

As a mom of three, two of whom are VERY picky eaters, I know exactly what it's like to spend hours researching menus and trying to find options that will make everyone happy.  Disney Springs is home to dozens of dining locations and it's easy to be overwhelmed by the choices.  The good news about all of these choices is that there are definitely several crowd-pleasing options - even for the pickiest eaters!  I'm happy to share a few of my favorites with you and, hopefully, you'll find one (or a few!) that you'd like to try!

    • T-REX or Rainforest Cafe - I list these both together because they are very similar experiences, just with different theming.  You'll find at both of these restaurants a large menu for both adults and children.  It's important to note that both of these have "show" type atmospheres throughout the meal where the lights dim, the noise increases, and some animatronic animals seem to come alive around you.  For some toddlers, the show is an appealing enhancement to the meal and adds a great element of fun.  However, other toddlers might be terrified that a dinosaur or gorilla may make their way to the table and eat their dessert. . .you can probably guess how I know this!  If you think your little one will enjoy the atmosphere this is a great choice!
    • Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' - This is one of my favorite all-around restaurants in Disney Springs.  The menu features some upscale Southern comfort food selections and I have loved everything I've tried here.  For little ones, you'll find kid favorites like chicken tenders and cheeseburgers.  While not an entree option for kids, the mac and cheese is a really good side choice here!
    • Paradiso 37, Taste of the Americas - This has become a go-to spot for us in Disney Springs as we have had luck finding last-minute reservations or walk-up availability.  There are several options here for little ones.  In addition to the usual burger and chicken tenders, you'll also find pizza and hot dogs.  On the adult menu, you can find some unique and flavorful twists on favorite dishes.  My number one recommendation is the Caribbean Salmon which is served with coconut rice.
Alexandra, if you want to view more options, you can filter the list of restaurants on the Walt Disney World Resort website to select locations at Disney Springs that accept the dining plan which should help narrow down your options.  Don't forget that advanced dining reservations are available and recommended for Table-Service restaurants when you choose where you'd like to eat!

I hope these suggestions are helpful as you get ready for your upcoming trip!  You're always welcome to be our guest at planDisney and we hope to see you again real soon!

    Bon Appétit!
