Are there any good resources for planning a large family Disney trip? We have 5 families, 10 adults & 5 kids. Only 2 families have been to Disney so trying to help them understand everything that Disney has to offer and how to go about planning for a g

    Hi Tracy!

How exciting to know you will be enjoying the magic of Disney with such a large group.  The more friends and family you can share your adventure with, the more magic!  I'm also in the process of planning a trip for several friends and family members, some of them first timers, and found a few great places to start.

First, I recommend ordering the Disney Parks Vacation Planning DVD and suggesting those who want a little more information to do the same.  The DVD gives an amazing tour of the four theme parks, resort accommodations and more.  It also includes planning guides, tips and information on special events. Speaking of special events, I see you are planning your trip for December, so also be sure to look at the Holidays at Walt Disney World page to see what fun experiences are planned during your visit.  Last, there is a great in-depth planning page for Planning Your First Trip. It is also full of planning tips and information to help you make the most of your vacation.

I hope these ideas give you and your family members a great start in planning your magical celebration.  If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.

Enjoy your planning and have a wonderful trip!

Meet the Panelist: Lauren, Colorado

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
