Where is a good place to watch Illuminations during the week of Easter? How early do we need to get a spot? Will have two 7 year olds. Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer,

I just love Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.  It such an inspiring way to end a day at Epcot!

World Showcase Lagoon is completely surrounded by great viewing locations for Illuminations.  Find a spot along the railing surrounding the lagoon at least an hour before Illuminations begins.  (It will be more crowded than normal during Easter week).  Just make sure that, from where you're standing, there are no trees overhead blocking your view.  If your little guys get bored easily, plan to have a puzzle book on hand or a few games on your phone to keep your sons occupied as they wait for Illuminations.

If you'd rather not have a viewing spot along the railing, consider heading to higher ground.  The balcony around the Teppen Edo restaurant in the Japan Pavilion is a great viewing spot for Illuminations.  I have friends that also rave about the perspective of Illuminations they enjoy from the area outside the shops at the Canada Pavilion.

If you're hoping to snack while you wait, try the outdoor eating area at La Cantina de San Angel in the Mexico Pavilion.  There are nice views of Illuminations there too.

Wishing you and your family a truly magical vacation this April!
