Hey there, Kelly, and welcome to planDisney!
Christmas time at the Walt Disney World Resort holds a special brand of magic. I'm happy to help you find the perfect place to feed your family for the holidays!
If you're looking for some Southern comfort food(as I often am), try
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' over at Disney Springs. Start with a little country cookin' charcuterie by way of a Jasper Board, fill up on pot roast and mac and cheese, and tear into some hummingbird cake before heading back to your resort. You'll be waddling like Donald Duck after all of that down-home goodness.
If you're planning to dine in one of the parks, I'd recommend
The Hollywood Brown Derby for an elegant Christmas meal. While they're famous for their cobb salad and grapefruit cake, their menu tends to get small adjustments to cater to the tastes of every season.
While some people might suggest
Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom for a more traditional take on holiday fare, complete with turkeys, stuffing, and overflowing gravy, I'd send you in a slightly different direction. I say go wish a happy holiday to our pals from the Hundred Acre Wood at
The Crystal Palace. A giggle with Winnie the Pooh, a little bouncing with Tigger, and a long hug from Eeyore on Christmas Day sounds like the best gift.
Pro-tip: Keep your eyes peeled for information about the
Candlelight Processional Dining Packages. They traditionally offer you the option to choose one of a selection of restaurants in EPCOT and then get seating to hear a celebrity narrator and an absolutely heavenly choir offer up a telling of The Greatest Story Ever Told.
Kelly, have the most magical time. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat!Happy planning!
