    Good Neighbor?

Hi Shawn! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for asking us this question about visiting The Happiest Place on Earth.

To all who come to this happy place...welcome! I'm happy to hear you're planning a vacation! There are so many hotel options to choose from both at and around the Disneyland Resort. The Good Neighbor Hotels are all Mickey-approved and close to the theme parks. When looking at your options, I would consider what amenities will best meet the needs of your travel party. For my family, breakfast included and a nice pool are factors that drive our choice. Another important thing to consider is whether or not the hotel is within walking distance. When we visit, we use a rideshare service from our favorite Good Neighbor hotel because it's a longer walk to and from Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney. It's quick, easy, and not very expensive if your travel party is small in size.

As you are deciding where to stay, you might also consider staying on property at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels. Of those, I have stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Spa & Resort. I loved both, and the convenience of being steps from the theme parks and the Downtown Disney District was well worth it. It's so nice to be in the middle of the magic with lots of great dining and shopping close by.

I hope this information helps with your planning. You can make Advanced Dining Reservations up to 60 days before your arrival date. Be sure to download the Disneyland Mobile app before you arrive for easy access to information about the theme parks, dining, and much more!

If you have more questions before you arrive, please stop by planDisney again. We would love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
    Lisa
