Hello there, Megan! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you stopped by to ask a question about dining reservations.
Oh boy! I'm sorry to hear you haven't had any luck so far finding a reservation for
Blue Bayou. This restaurant is probably the most sought-after dining reservation at Disneyland Resort. That's probably why you haven't seen reservations for any date. It was closed along with the refurbishment of
Pirates of the Caribbean and just recently reopened so there is even more of a want for these reservations. You will find that you will have the best luck getting a Blue Bayou reservation exactly 60 days out when
dining reservations are released. Don't count yourself out of luck just yet though, I have a few other ideas!
Just keep trying! I suggest going in and checking the reservations a few times a day or as much as you remember. You never know when someone may end up canceling their reservation. I find that I have the most luck with this by searching the day before or the day of. This is because Guests need to cancel the day before the reservation to keep from getting charged a cancellation/no-show fee.
Your other option would be to arrive a few minutes prior to the restaurant's opening and patiently wait for a Cast Member to show up at the podium. You can ask if they can accommodate a same-day reservation. This is not always an option, but it doesn't hurt to kindly ask! We had luck doing this earlier this year and it was such a treat!
Megan, I really hope you are able to enjoy a meal at Blue Bayou. It really is a fun experience getting to enjoy a meal as the boats embark on their journey. I also love that you can enjoy a glass of wine there, which is one of the very few places to allow that in Disneyland Park.
