Good morning Last year we visited the Polynesian Resort and had a lovely evening. The children got to do Hula plus other games and I wondered what evenings of the week this will be held on for our Disney trip this August? Many thanks!

Aloha, Terence! Welcome back to planDisney!

Not only is Polynesian Village Resort one of my favorite resorts, but it might be one of my favorite places at Walt Disney World. With its beautiful Polynesian-inspired decor, delicious restaurants, fun pools, proximity to the Magic Kingdom, and all the games and activities (as you experienced), it’s no wonder this is one of the most popular resorts in the Vacation Kingdom.

Polynesian Village Resort and other Walt Disney World Resort hotels don’t share a full schedule of games and events online, but some information can be found on the resort’s website. For example, campfire activities are held on the Seven Seas Lagoon Beach from 6:00pm–7:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and Movies Under the Stars is scheduled for 8:00pm on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays (schedules and availability subject to change). I would ask a friendly Cast Member for a schedule of events when you check in, and they will be able to direct you to the most up-to-date information.

Polynesian Village Resort also offers activities that you can schedule or are regularly available to guests. I visited the resort and the new Island Tower earlier this spring, and I noticed multiple lawn games placed between Moana’s Voyage Splash Zone and the Aotearoa building. The resort also offers volleyball, fishing excursions, and motorized boat rentals.

There is so much to do at this resort, but I think the most exciting part of your summer trip might be the recent announcement about Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. This nighttime parade is set to debut on July 20th, 2025, meaning you’ll get to experience the star-lit magic on your upcoming holiday. The concept art has looked spectacular, but I can’t wait to see what the floats look like in real life.

Terence, I hope this information is helpful and that you and your ‘Ohana have an amazing trip to Walt Disney World and the Polynesian Village Resort. Don’t hesitate to pop right back if you have any other questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
