Good morning,Is there regular parades at Magic Kingdom on non party days during the holiday season? We are going to Disney in November and may not do the party passes but wondering on non party days if there is a parade and fireworks still?

    Hi Donna!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

I’m so excited to hear you’re planning a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth at the most wonderful time of the year. My family visits every year during the holidays! There are so many holly-jolly happenings around Walt Disney World Resort, and a visit in November is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.

If you don’t have plans to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, no need to worry – there will still be plenty of holiday spirit throughout the theme parks for guests to enjoy. While the party offers exclusive entertainment like Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and special holiday fireworks, there’s still plenty of magic to experience at Magic Kingdom during the day. Outside of the special ticketed events, Magic Kingdom Park will be decked out in festive decorations. A giant Christmas tree greets you as you enter Town Square, with a perfect photo op for your family. As you walk down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A., you’ll feel like you’re walking in a winter wonderland!

On days when Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is not happening, you can still enjoy the regular entertainment offerings at Magic Kingdom, such as the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and Happily Ever After Nighttime Spectacular.

The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade takes place every afternoon and features beloved Disney characters (my favorite is the mime from “Tangled”!), colorful floats, and fun music. The parade steps off in Frontierland each day at 3 pm. One of the best spots to watch the parade is in Liberty Square, where the floats turn to make their way toward Cinderella Castle.

Happily Ever After is a spectacular fireworks display and projection show that features classic Disney characters and music from popular Disney movies. I’ll admit, I get teared up every time I watch the show, particularly when “Go the Distance” from Disney’s Hercules begins! There’s no better way to end a fun day in the theme park than with an amazing fireworks show.

Make sure to check the My Disney Experience mobile app or the official Walt Disney World website closer to your visit for specific times and details of parades and fireworks.

Enjoy your trip in November, and may all your days be merry and bright!
