Good morning, I am planning a quick trip in June, allowing only one day in the parks. It happens to be a Magic Hour for MK. How does that work for staying off property? Do they still have a rope drop? Are we allowed in the park, just not go on the rides?

Hi Maura! Thanks for stopping by with your question.
Extra Magic Hours is an exclusive benefit for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green Resort. If you are staying off property, you will only be allowed to enter the park by its official opening hour.
Magic Kingdom Welcome Show is presented every day and begins about 10 minutes before park opens. When park opens earlier for Extra Magic Hours, the show is also presented earlier, like on regular days. For example, if park opens at 07:00 a.m. for Extra Magic Hours, welcome show will occur at 06:50 a.m.
Before your visit, I suggest you check back at Disney official website for any changes or updates on time schedules.
Please, don’t hesitate to come back if you have further questions.
    Have a wonderful day!
