Ahoy thar, Donna! I hear ye be havin’ some worries about Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom Park. Let’s get this question figured out and get you back on course for treasure and fun with Captain Jack Sparrow!
Occasionally, attractions will cause Guests and Cast Members to have an “aaarrrggghhh” moment! Attractions will, from time to time, need a temporary closure to get the “sea water” out of gears. But don’t worry because it’s “all hands on deck” to get an attraction up and running again! I saw that was the case earlier this week for your favorite, Pirates of the Caribbean. I am happy to share that Pirates of the Caribbean has found her sea legs and has once again set sail for adventure!
The best way to see which attractions will have a longer closing or scheduled refurbishment is to check either the attraction’s webpage or the Disney Parks Calendar. Both can be found on the
Walt Disney World Resort website. When you visit the webpage for any attraction, a notation will be included if there is a planned closure for an attraction. For example, if you visit the webpage for
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, you’ll see a message stating that the attraction will close beginning on January 6, 2025, and then reopen in 2026. There is no similar message posted for
Pirates of the Caribbean.
Also, when you view the
Disney Parks Day Calendar, you’ll notice that some parks have a “Closed for Refurbishment” section listed. When you click on that section, you’ll see a list of attractions scheduled to be closed.
All mateys, landlubbers, and scallywags are welcome aboard Pirates of the Caribbean!
Dreams do come true!
