Good morning I know in Disneyworld Orlando you can have very early morning breakfast, before the park opens, at Be My Guest Restaurant - does Disneyland have this option at any of their restaurants within Disneyland Anaheim.

Hey there, Deborah! Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another great question!

Currently, there is one option for a pre-park opening breakfast at the Disneyland Resort and it happens to be my favorite character meal! The Minnie and Friends – Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn features an amazing buffet and oodles of different characters. In fact, each time I have dined here, we have met upwards of 10 different, and sometimes very unique, characters. Reservations are available prior to the official park opening, but typically your meal will last until after the park has opened for the day. So I don’t usually recommend it as a strategy in order to be first in line at popular attractions in the morning. However, if you want a fun, early morning meal and perhaps have the opportunity to snap a quick photo of your family without anyone else in the park, then an early reservation at the Plaza Inn is a great choice.

When making your reservation, be aware that Disneyland Park opens one hour early on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for those with Extra Magic Hour and Magic Morning entitlements. If you truly want a pre-park opening experience, plan your breakfast on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday. When you arrive at the park gates, look for a sign that says “Character Breakfast” or “Dining Reservations” to the far left. This is where folks with early dining reservations will check in and be allowed to enter the park. You might want to have your dining reservation confirmation number on-hand when you check in just in case.

If you have other questions about dining reservations or any other element of your trip, don’t hesitate to stop by again. Happy planning!
