Good morning. SInce WDW went back to not time limit on park hopping, are you allowed to modify a Genie+ Lightening Lane selection from one park to another?

Hey Howdy Hey Michael and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question about Genie+. Genie+ helps to make navigating the parks so much easier. Having access to Lightning Lane Entrances and experiencing more attractions while spending less time in stand-by lines is such a nice benefit. I will be happy to give you more information on the details when it comes to park hopping.

You are correct Michael that Disney has recently updated the policy for the Park Hopper Option and no longer has time restrictions on when park hopping starts. While this is great not having to worry about the time as much, you do need to pay special attention when purchasing Genie+. If you are planning on purchasing Genie+ during a day you want to park hop and use Lightning Lanes for multiple parks, make sure when purchasing you select the "Multiple Parks" option of Genie+. This will allow you the option to select Lightning Lanes for multiple parks on the day of your visit.

When making your Lightning Lane selections, you will be asked which park you want to make one for and then prompted on the times and attractions available. If you make a Lightning Lane selection, you will also have the opportunity to modify it after booking as well. You might want to change the time or your party which you will have the option to modify accordingly pending availability.

I am sure you are aware of the rules for booking Lightning Lanes but just a reminder you can start booking your first Lightning Lane experience starting at 7:00 AM EST on the day of your visit. Your next chance to book a Lightning Lane experience would be either after you redeem your first one or two hours after the park officially opens, whichever comes first. One tip I would have for you involves getting to your first park early and stacking your Lightning Lanes for your second park.

If you are staying onsite at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry and get to the park 30 minutes before the park opens to the general public. This will allow you time to experience some high-demand attractions with little wait time. While you are taking advantage of the lower crowds in one park, you can make your Lightning Lane selections for your next park so as the crowds roll in, you can hop on attractions with minimal wait times. Depending on the day, crowds do tend to peak at mid-morning to early afternoon and this is a great time to have your Lightning Lanes booked to avoid waiting in long stand-by lines.

I hope you have an amazing time on your upcoming trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Please feel free to stop back with any further questions you may have, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,
