Hi, there!
Elizabeth, I'm so excited to hear you're planning a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort with a little one in tow. You're sure to have a magical stay!
You are correct; children under the age of 3 are not eligible for a dining plan. If you will be enjoying the convenience of a
dining plan during your visit, your baby can share from your plate
or you can certainly order something additional for the baby and just pay-out-of-pocket for that item. At all-you-care-to-enjoy dining locations like Chef Mickey's and The Crystal Palace, your little one can eat from the buffet at no charge! I always schedule a few of these meals when I'm traveling with my toddler because I know she'll enjoy kid-friendly fare AND the company of beloved Disney Characters, all in one place!
As a mom of three, I try to book as many entertaining meals as I can for our Disney vacations. When my kids are entertained during mealtime, we're much more likely to have an enjoyable dining experience!
Character Dining Experiences always keep my kids occupied, but restaurants with unique and fun theming also do the trick. At
Sanaa, we can watch African animals roam the Sunset Savanna right from our table!
Coral Reef Restaurant also keeps my kids engaged with panoramic views of The Seas with Nemo & Friends.
Did you know that
you can take food and beverages into the theme parks? I usually pack a few snacks and fruit pouches for my toddler in my park bag. If she's having a hard time waiting in line for an attraction or waiting for her meal to come at a restaurant, a small bite to eat will tide her over!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Elizabeth. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
