Good Morning! We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter in December 2016. We have family members staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Is there transportation between both hotels? Are they far away from each other? Thanks,

    Hi Sherry,

You and your family have chosen beautiful resorts for your Walt Disney World vacations. Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside are sister resorts situated along the Sassagoula River, both with water taxi service to Disney Springs.

The resorts are connected by a wide waterfront sidewalk, and it takes just 10 to 15 minutes to stroll from one to the other. That's the easiest way to travel between the two.

Often, if we are at Riverside, we will walk over to French Quarter for fresh beignets from Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. Or from French Quarter, we will head to Riverside for a meal at Boatwright's Dining Hall. Guests at each resort can take advantage of the pools and activities at either of the properties.

The two resorts sometimes share bus routes, but if you want to travel to the theme parks together, I would suggest that you meet at the main bus stop in front of Port Orleans Riverside. Depending on where in the Riverside resort they are staying, that bus stop should be central for you all.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let us know if we can answer any more questions for you as you plan your vacation. Enjoy!
