Good morning, we will be staying at the Contemporary Hotel over Labor Day weekend. My question is can we bring a pool noodle from home to use in the pool. Thank you for your time and hope you have a Magical Day! Pat

    Welcome back to planDisney!

Oh, my goodness, you are in for such a treat by calling Disney's Contemporary Resort home while visiting Walt Disney World. Excellent choice!

One of the highlights of this iconic resort is spending a day (or two) at the pool with a lovely view of Bay Lake. Both the fun of the crazy cool waterslide in the main pool and the more relaxed setting of nearby Bay Pool will be the perfect place to swim, sit, and celebrate the season. What a wonderful way to cap off the unofficial end of summer!

As for bringing a pool noodle to the resort, I've seen Guests do so, but if the use of any flotation device interferes with other Guests, you may be asked to remove it. Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules state that "Non-Coast Guard approved flotation devices or swim noodles [are prohibited] at any water park", but that policy does not specify resort hotel pools. If in doubt, rest assured that Mickey has thought of everything and provides life vests for those to need to borrow them.

For the most up-to-date information about your resort stay, check out this super-useful post Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go. You'll find information related to your use of the My Disney Experience mobile app, cashless payments, transportation and so much more.

Your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth will be filled with fun in the sun--and your pool time will surely be a highlight of your day. Enjoy!

As you put the finishing pixie-dusted details on your plans, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
