Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kimberly!
There is nothing quite so wonderful as celebrating a birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth! One of the first things that popped into my head is
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. This is a really fun and interactive show just for kids ages 4 through 12. The kids train with their Jedi Masters and then get to fight off the dark side. You can register your son for a same-day time slot by visiting the area by the Star Wars Launch Bay exit.
Another fun thing any birthday kid would enjoy is a character meal! My favorites are the Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn and dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel. Both meals offer expansive buffets and fun character interaction while you dine. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made online or by calling (714) 781-3463 up to 60 days in advance. If you opt for dinner, or you like cake in the morning, consider ordering a
custom birthday cake to be delivered to your table. You can choose the flavor, design, and personalize your message.
When it comes to
attractions, be sure to measure your son’s height, with shoes on, before your visit. If he is 40” tall or taller, then the majority of attractions are available to him. My daughter absolutely loves Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission – Breakout. So if your son is a bit of a thrill seeker, I think he’d like these attractions as well.
I hope your visit to the Disneyland Resort is full of magic and memories!
