Good morning! My sons would love the chance to trade with a JAWA when they visit WDW in November. Are the JAWAs still trading and what is permissible to use as a trading item? Thank you.

    Hi Sharon,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this stellar question.

My family and I absolutely LOVE trading with the Jawas at the Star Wars Launch Bay! We recently found Jawas there, and were able to successfully trade with them too. We brought small colorful key-chain-carabiner clips that they seemed to like very much. We have been able to trade Disney pins and build-your-own droid parts too. Jawas are definitely attracted to shiny metal objects! It is possible that Jawas may not be in the mood to trade their wares; but do keep trying as you never know what might pique the interest of the curious creatures.

Please keep in mind that there is absolutely no guarantee you will encounter Jawas, however. There is always a possibility that the skilled scavengers are en route to their native Tatooine delivering treasure troves of galactic goods. That being said, I do hope you get to meet them during your family's November trip. Oh, and be sure to have your cameras ready. You certainly don't want to miss that cosmic photo opportunity!

Disney Mom Tip: Please read my friend Jane's expert advice about trading with the Jawas at Disney's Hollywood Studios. She offers some excellent tips too.

Wishing you a most memorable visit to the place where The Magic is Endless!
