Hi Tara! Thanks for stopping by planDisney! Wow, there are not many Disney fans that can say they are the same age as Walt Disney World itself! And what better way to celebrate a belated birthday than with Mickey and friends!
First, you will need to decide on which
Disney Resort Collection hotel you will like to stay in. There are so many to choose from and each is tailored to the type of budget you are working with. Once you have decided that, you will want to figure out how many days you plan to spend in the parks. Since you are traveling for a long weekend and limited on days, it may make sense to add the
Park Hopper Option to your tickets. This allows you to visit multiple theme parks on the same day and maximize your time at Walt Disney World.
If you have done some previous research and are ready to move forward, you can call the
Walt Disney World Resort and speak to a Cast Member. This Cast Member will be able to provide all cost options and book your vacation package. I have personally gone this route before and the Cast Member is always extremely helpful and informative.
Another option is to head to your favorite internet search engine and type in Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. These travel planners can book your entire stay, including airfare and transportation (to and from the airport). The best part for you, Tara, is you will have one person to coordinate and work with on creating the perfect Disney getaway. There is also no extra cost to you for using an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. You'll pay the same amount either way!
As always, you will be able to book your vacation package directly through the Walt Disney World website. The process is fairly easy and if you know exactly what you want, then this is the quickest option for you.
Even though you are coming down a few months after the shared birthday, the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration will still be underway. This is being celebrated across all four theme parks and debuted two nighttime spectaculars that are can't miss. Be sure to check out both
Harmonious and
Disney Enchantment while you are here.
Happy planning, Tara!
