Feel the breeze, Linda, and welcome back to planDisney! A portable fan is a must-pack for many travelers who visit Walt Disney World Resort, as the spinning blades can bring welcome relief in hot and humid weather. I have seen fans of all types at the theme parks, including handhelds, clip-ons, around the neck, battery-operated, rechargeable, and the classic manually operated folding kind. I will be happy to assist you in determining if the fan you have described is permitted at the parks.
I perused the official
Walt Disney World Property Rules and performed a search for batteries and fans, and only found a limitation for large misting fans at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The rules state that personal misting fans are ok, just know that all items and bags are subject to search at Disney World security checkpoints. Security also reserves the right to not allow particular items into the parks, even if they are not expressly listed with the prohibited items.
If your fan has a detachable rechargeable battery, I recommend removing it from your bag or having the fan out and visible when you approach the front gates. I always remove power banks for my devices so Cast Members can see the item when I pass through the checkpoint. I also want to note that my fellow panelist Matt
answered a similar question about the same brand-name fan you have, so you may find his response helpful. It seems as though large batteries you'd use with other tools will not be permitted, but a small, personal fan that charges via a cord and USB port will be ok.
A few final tips: since you mentioned a stroller, be sure that it measures
31" wide and 52" long or smaller. You may also
rent a stroller from each of the four theme parks and Disney Springs. Enjoy some savings by choosing to prepay for the length of your stay, or show your same-day receipt to another rental location to get a replacement stroller if visiting another park. Strollers can't be removed from the parks, and this way you'll only have to pay once per day.
I am wishing you cool breezes all vacation long, Linda! We'd love to answer any other inquiries you have as your trip draws nearer, so please visit us again soon.
Fair winds!
