Hi Katie! Welcome to
planDisney!
This is honestly one of my favorite little Disney planning tricks, so I'm very excited you asked.
Typically, the latest reservation available for
Oga's Cantina is scheduled about ten minutes before the official park closing time at
Disney's Hollywood Studios. So if the park closes at 9 p.m., for example, you would usually see the final reservation slot somewhere around 8:50 p.m.
The really great news is that park closing does not cut your experience short. Once you've checked in and been seated inside Oga's Cantina, you still receive the normal experience window, which is limited to 45 minutes per party. Cast Members won't rush you out just because the park officially closed while you were inside.
In fact, I actually think these late-night reservations are one of the best hidden gems in all of
Walt Disney World planning. When you leave Oga's after the park has emptied out,
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and the rest of the park feels almost surreal. The atmosphere becomes quieter, the lighting looks incredible, and you can take some truly amazing photos with far fewer people around. Batuu at night is already stunning, but Batuu after park closing feels especially magical.
One thing I would keep in mind is that reservation availability can fluctuate depending on the season, operating hours, and special events, so the exact latest reservation time may vary slightly from day to day. But in general, you can absolutely count on getting the full experience even if your reservation is very close to park closing.
Katie, I genuinely think this is such a fantastic strategy for ending a Hollywood Studios day. I hope you have the most immersive and magical evening on Batuu.
Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
