Good morning! I have a question about dining reservations. My sister in law made all of the dining reservations for our trip. There are a few restaurants where she will not be there with my family. Will I be able to attend without her? Thanks!

Hi Laura and welcome back to planDisney!

Dining at Walt Disney World is one of my favorite things to do.  There are so many fantastic restaurants to choose from at the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs.  There is always something for everyone, it's just so hard to pick!  I see that your vacation is coming up in just under two months.  How exciting!  The holiday time is the best time to visit and see all of the beautiful decorations all around.  Walking down Main Street U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park under the holiday garland and wreaths makes me smile from ear to ear.

I love traveling to Walt Disney World with extended family and especially love taking the time to have meals together.  If the person who made the dining reservation is unable to go, no problem at all.  You will just need to give the Cast Member at the host stand the name on the reservation when you check-in.  Your sister-in-law can also add you (and anyone else in your family) as a Guest on the dining reservation right from the My Disney Experience Mobile App by clicking on the dining reservation and then click on "Update Party".  If the number of Guests on your dining reservation changes, please try and modify your reservations so that availability can open up for other Guests.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
