Hey there, Paul! Welcome back to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with such a great question!
You sound like someone after my own Disney planning heart. When I have a stay booked at a new-to-me Disney Resort hotel, I get
so excited and spend hours exploring every little detail about its theming, location, dining options, recreation offerings and more. I couldn’t be more excited to see that you have a magical adventure at
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge just around the riverbend, and I’m thrilled to help you explore the wilderness!
To start your exploration, I suggest heading to the
Boulder Ridge page on the Walt Disney World website and be sure to click all the tabs at the top. Get an overview of the Resort, explore the room details, and check out the dining options, recreation offerings and amenities at the Resort by clicking each tab. Since this Resort is located at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge, I also suggest checking out that webpage to get an even better picture of this amazing Resort.
Make sure you also check out the
planDisney Disney Resort Hotel Pocket Guides! These oh-so-helpful digital resources give you details and even tips and tricks from the panelists about the Resorts, all in one convenient location.
My family and I just returned home from a stay at Boulder Ridge last month, and I'd love to share my perspective on this fabulous Resort that I just adore. The theming is second to none, and from the moment you arrive on the gorgeous grounds, you are transported right to the Pacific Northwest. Since the Resort is a short, scenic boat ride away from Magic Kingdom Park, it really is a perfect, peaceful home away from home right in the middle of the magic. The dining options cannot be beaten, as
Whispering Canyon Cafe and
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White are two of my favorite dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort. Grabbing a cocktail and
delicious meal at
Geyser Point Bar & Grill and watching the sunset over Bay Lake is my absolute favorite way to unwind after a day playing in the parks. Don't miss this!
My favorite thing about Boulder Ridge is how it is tucked in the wilderness, away from the hustle and bustle. It has its own gorgeous lobby with a fireplace and comfy seating, and it is just
so peaceful. Spending time in the Carolwood Pacific Railroad Room near the Boulder Ridge lobby is an absolute must-do. Explore the details of the room, sit in the cozy seating, play a board game or checkers, or just relax. I also love sitting in the rocking chairs right outside, as it is just the most peaceful spot in all of Walt Disney World Resort. Enjoy!
I hope this helps, Paul! If you have any specific questions about Boulder Ridge, feel free to
ask me directly. I hope you have a magical and memorable time at The Most Magical Place on Earth. I just know you will fall in love with this incredible Resort.
You've got a friend in me,
Mandy
