Good Morning ladies and Gent I have ADR for Mickey's BBQ June 15, coming from A.K., would you take a bus to F.W. or Contemp. then boat ride to F.W.? I was looking at the F.W. map and it looked very confusing to get around by direct bus???????

    Hi Tabitha,

I think if you look at most of the maps from the different Walt Disney World Resorts you will find they are quite intimidating to look at, but once there it really is not that bad.  You have to go and experience these places only a few times in order to get a little familiar with them and feel more comfortable with your navigation routes within the resort grounds.  On that note...on to your question and answer!  You could do either of these suggested routes you have mentioned, but in my opinion unless you want a scenic boat ride and have extra time for this there really is no need to go to the Contemporary Resort first.  I would take the bus from Disney's Animal Kingdom directly to Fort Wilderness Campground and then you are only minutes away from your dining experience at Mickey's Backyard BBQ!  Have a great time and don't get too worried about the transportation system, it really isn't as confusing as it seems.

    Best wishes,
