Good morning, I’m planning to visit with my children in August. My son is 7yrs old, wheelchair bound and tube fed. Should Include him in the Count for the dining reservations? What about for packages like Fantasmic dining package?

Hello there, Andrea! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for stopping by and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Walt Disney World Resort prioritizes providing services and accessibility options so that all of their Guests are able to experience the magic while on vacation! This includes providing specific services for their Guests with mobility disabilities all the way to providing specific accommodations for their Guests with dietary needs and allergies

When making Advanced Dining Reservations, I would recommend including your son in the count for your party. The number you use to make your reservation largely has to do with the number of seats or size of the table you will be provided with when you arrive at your dining location. So, by including your son in your numbers, the dining location will have an accurate count of how large of a table your party will require!

For reservations that require pre-payment for food, I would strongly recommend calling the Dining Reservations phone line when making your reservation. This will allow you to fully explain your specific situation to a Cast Member. I cannot guarantee that they how they will address this situation but, in similar situations in which Guests require feeding tubes, they have provided suitable accommodations that allow each Guest to enjoy their specific reserved event!

Please be sure to let us know if you have any other questions regarding your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
