Hi, Latisha! Welcome back to planDisney! I’m always happy to help a fellow Michigander plan a Disney Cruise Line vacation. I bet you’re ready to leave the cold and snow behind. I don’t blame you! I can’t wait for you to relax onboard and enjoy some vitamin SEA on deck.
I’m sorry to hear that your traveling party could not reserve the same time for your day at
Chankanaab National Park. I recommend checking with the Port Adventures Deck once you board to see if there are any openings to accommodate your crew. I’ve heard fantastic things about this excursion. Make sure to bring some cash or credit cards to purchase optional extras like snorkeling equipment. For group excursions, you are expected to depart with the group. If you return before the all-aboard time, you can explore the port and shop for those last few souvenirs.
A fun way to explore the
Disney Dream is to participate in the
Midship Detective Agency. This self-guided game is a great way to work together as a family to solve a crime. Your mission will take you all over the ship, exploring different interactive artwork with a special badge. It’s self-paced, so don’t worry; you can still enjoy a ride on the
AquaDuck and pick up right where you left off.
Latisha, I’m sure you’ve already packed your swimsuits and pirate gear, but take a look at the handy
Packing List for Disney Cruises. The evenings can get chilly, not Michigan cold, but a lightweight sweater is nice to have. Or you could “forget” to pack a sweatshirt and buy one onboard. I hope this information helps you chart your course for an incredible adventure! My pals and I are always delighted to help.
SEAS the adventure!
