Hello, Chevonne. I'm so glad you've stopped by planDisney with your question.
I am very familiar with the cheerleading competition you are going to be heading off to, I will be there as well! Because of that, I'm well versed in the theme
park availability for that weekend. It's going to be a busy one, that's for sure! The Walt Disney World Theme Park availability calendar is very fluid and changes constantly. When people change their itineraries or cancel their vacations, spots do open up. Also, I know that Walt Disney World has very recently opened up a few days in June for more availability so I wouldn't put it past them to do that for some of the busier weekends in May too. My biggest suggestion to you is to keep checking back. I've had great luck with securing park pass reservations for days that have been previously sold out but checking around the clock. Sometimes, looking at odd hours is best. Unfortunately, there isn't a waitlist to join and checking back is really the best option.
If you were or are able to secure
park pass reservations for any of the Walt Disney World theme parks, you could always upgrade your ticket to include the park hopper option. Park hopping is where you are able to visit multiple Walt Disney World theme parks in one day.
Park hopping just recently returned, at the start of this year, and does look a little bit different at this time. Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option. Guests wishing to park hop must make park pass reservations for the initial theme park they will be visiting each day. Then on that day, before park hopping, Guests must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation. Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evenings. You do not need to make additional park pass reservations throughout the day to park hop, just your initial one each day.
If you aren't able to secure park pass reservations at one of the 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks, visiting Disney's
Blizzard Beach water park is a great alternative. The water park features one of the tallest waterslides in the world, a chairlift that takes you to the top and a really fun family raft ride. My family and I enjoy spending time at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and I think you would like it too.
Chevonne, I hope you are able to secure park pass reservations for your trip in a few weeks but most importantly I hope your daughter has a really fun time at the competition. I am sending all of the luck and best wishes her way!
