Welcome to planDisney, Debbie.
Wow, a family trip to Walt Disney World Resort! That's the stuff of dreams, right there! In the words of Miguel from Coco, “We may have our differences, but nothing’s more important than family.” Even so,
planning a vacation for a large group can be a little overwhelming. But Hakuna Matata! We've got you covered at planDisney.
Debbie, taking the whole family to Walt Disney World can certainly add up (believe me, I know!). So let me give you some ways that you can save those pennies. I'm not sure how long you're planning on visiting, but you can currently
save $20 per ticket when you purchase 3-day tickets online as compared to the price at the ticket window. And with each extra day that you visit the Theme Parks that discount increases. The general rule is, "The more you play, the less you pay per day." However, there are no family rate discounts on tickets, I'm afraid.
You can always keep checking the
special offers page in case anything magical pops up. For example, right now, you can save up to $500 on a 5-night stay at selected Disney Resort Hotels in Spring and Early Summer 2022.
There are other ways to save money, Debbie. Let me give you some of my favorite tips:
- Theme Park tickets tend to be more expensive on weekends. Therefore, if you can, go on a weekday.
- Bring your own snacks from home.
- Bring your own refillable water bottles. There are plenty of refill stations in the Theme Parks. You can also ask for free ice water from any quick-service restaurant.
- Speaking of quick-service restaurants, don't feel the need to eat at a table-service restaurant. There are some brilliant quick-service restaurants around Walt Disney World. You've got Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom Park, Ronto Roasters at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Satu'li Canteen at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and a plethora of options around World Showcase in EPCOT. Also, if you'd like to save time, the Mobile Order service is available at many quick-service locations too. Instead of waiting around, you can order your food ahead of time and pick it up when you're ready. Time is money!
Hopefully, that's helpful, Debbie. I'm sure you and your 'ohana will have a brilliant time. You’re never too old to be young at Walt Disney World Resort. Allow yourself to experience the child-like wonder of being at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
ChEARS,
Mike
