Bright Suns, Georgia!
I was lucky enough to visit the planet Batuu for myself this week, and you are going to absolutely love your time in
Black Spire Outpost. I was able to kick back and relax with a Ronto Wrap and Coruscant Cooler from
Ronto Roasters, but I had to get out of there quickly because Hondo Ohnaka was out for my head after I crashed on
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. Luckily, the citizens of Batuu know a lot of secrets about their planet and the people who live there and they helped me get out of there undetected, so make sure you take the time to talk to them when you get to visit for yourself! It was my favorite part of the trip I made to a galaxy far, far away.
In the words of a wise Jedi Master, "Impossible to see, the future is." While we don't quite know the date of the maiden voyage of the Halcyon we did learn a lot about what we can expect when we eventually do get to board
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser for ourselves. We saw a lot of concept art, like the design of the Launch Pods that will transport you to the ship, and we also saw some renderings of the Atrium and the Bridge where your very own Star Wars story will come to life. You'll be able to participate in Jedi training and wield a lightsaber to put your Force sensitivity to the test, just like Luke Skywalker did with Obi-Wan Kenobi! You may even be called upon to help defend the Halcyon from enemy attacks or intruders sent by the First Order. Waiting to hear more about this immersive experience is definitely testing my patience too, but I'm sure it will be worth it when we finally get to experience it for ourselves. I recommend that you keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, which will be the first place you'll hear about any exciting breaking news, including the announcement of a date for the opening of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.
May the Force be with you, Georgia!
