Hi Carlette!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited for you and your upcoming Southern Caribbean Disney Cruise Line vacation. I am sure you are looking forward to the warmer weather you’ll have there, and it will be a nice break from the cold winter back home. My family sailed through the Southern Caribbean last January and even though we don’t get super cold winters in Texas, it was certainly a welcomed escape.
When we traveled to
San Juan last year, we were not exactly sure what to expect as Hurricane Maria had brought so much devastation to the country just a few months prior. We were so surprised to find the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport to be recently redone. We were unsure of the airport situation prior to flying in, but it was a lovely airport to fly into and very comfortable as we ended up having a delay on our departure day resulting in a longer than anticipated wait at the airport before flying home. I am sure that in the past year even more has been done to it to even further welcome Guests!
From my experience using Disney Cruise Line’s Ground Transportation, there is usually a representative with a sign waiting for you as you exit the baggage area to direct you to the shuttle. Since we did not use Disney Cruise Line’s ground transfers when we arrived in San Juan, I contacted Disney Cruise Line to see if there was any other information to provide you before your arrival. Since meeting points are always subject to change, its recommended that you contact Embarkation Guest Services at (800) 395-9374 to get the most up to date information for your transportation.
Wishing you a magical adventure at sea filled with
WONDER and many memories!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
