Good morning, my DD will be graduating HS in 2026, we are visiting in August and want to do Senior pics with Capture the Moment. Will she be allowed to bring in a cap and gown? Also how soon in advance will available time slots be released for August?

Welcome to planDisney, Latisha! As a fellow mom to a graduating senior in the class of 2026, I know how exciting the year ahead is going to be, and your idea to capture the magic of your daughter's graduation at the Most Magical Place on Earth is a great one! What could be more iconic than celebrating the beginning of chasing their dreams than photos at Walt Disney World Resort?

Latisha, I looked into the Property Rules for the Walt Disney World Resort and I think you should be fine to bring in your daughter's cap and gown for her photo session. According to the park rules and guidelines for a Capture Your Moment photo session, attire that drags on the ground is not permitted, so I would just be sure that your daughter's gown is the appropriate length so that you don't run into any problems!

In terms of booking your session, you can book your appointment up to 60 days in advance. If you are staying as a guest at a Disney Resort hotel, you can book 60 days before check-in for the entire length of your stay, potentially offering a little more availability if you have a certain location or time in mind. Keep in mind that each session is 20 minutes, so if you would like to have more time, you will want to book back-to-back sessions to offer some flexibility or extended time.

Latisha, visiting in August, you may not find much merchandise for the class of 2026, but did you know you can have a calligraphy artist at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom or at Disney's Days of Christmas in Disney Springs create personalized celebration buttons for your special occasion? This would be such a fun keepsake for your daughter to have throughout her senior year!

I hope this is helpful, Latisha, and I hope you and your daughter have an amazing time celebrating her final year of school and the start of new adventures! If you have any other questions as you plan your visit, come back to planDisney any time and let us know!

    Hats off to the graduate,
    Alison
