Hey there, Lance!
Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney! I hope you're getting ready for your fun-filled visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
There's a lot I love about
MagicBands and how cool and convenient they are for making a Walt Disney World Resort vacation easier to manage. Typically, I can offer some great tips to help with questions about using MagicBands just based on my own use over many trips and my family's growing collection. In your case, I can't quite tell if the MagicBand you are wanting to link to your new
My Disney Experience account was assigned to you when it was previously linked to your wife's My Disney Experience account, or whether it was assigned to your wife. Generally, a MagicBand
cannot be reassigned to someone else once it is linked to a Guest's My Disney Experience account. If the MagicBand was assigned to you under your wife's account, and now you would like it assigned to you under your new account, that's a bit of a different scenario. My best suggestion for you to get help with your specific situation is to reach out to the Walt Disney World Internet Help Desk team by calling them at (407) 939-4357. The friendly experts on the Internet Help Desk team can give you the best guidance.
I'll also mention quickly that if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can pick up a
Key to the World card at your Resort's Front Desk and use it as an alternative to a MagicBand. I also highly recommend the
My Disney Experience mobile app as a super useful tool to manage your everyday Walt Disney World Resort vacation plans.
One last quick tip: be sure to make your
theme park reservations through the Disney Park Pass system for the days you want to visit the theme parks.
Lance, I hope this info is helpful as you count down your days to arriving at Walt Disney World Resort! Enjoy all the fun!
