Hi there, Latisha - welcome back to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with another question for our team of panelists. We're glad you're back because we love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
It sounds like you've already made
the big choice, where to stay, and it's a great one!
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort has stunning rooms, unique amenities, and you simply can't beat the location - you can walk to Magic Kingdom Park! With several different room categories to choose from, I'm happy to help you select what room is best for your crew!
Latisha, in my personal opinion, I usually prefer a 2-Bedroom Lock-off Villa if I have the choice. When traveling with a larger group, I find it's often nice to be able to close the connecting door for some separation and privacy. The one big difference at Bay Lake Tower is that the dedicated 2-Bedroom Villa will have two normal Queen beds in the "second" bedroom, while the Lock-off will have one normal Queen bed and the second will be a convertible sofa bed, which is comfortable, but not as comfortable as the normal bed. You'll also get a second small kitchenette area with the Lock-off Villa, and a second entry door from the hallway, so please consider if those amenities appeal to you.
The bottom line is that both are great choices, and very similar. The primary living and bedroom areas will be nearly identical, and you'll have plenty of room to spread out. If I were you, I'd mostly be thinking about sleeping arrangements and whether I'd want to have the ability to escape to the Lock-off part of the Villa. In sum, I don't think you can make a bad choice here!
I wish I had some secrets to share that would push you one direction or the other, but that's just not the case. During your visit, be sure to experience the brand-new thrill at
Magic Kingdom Park -
TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise!
See ya real soon!
