    Good morning, we already purchased our magicbands for our sept 2022 trip. My question is can we purchase the new magicband 2 at the discount rate that are coming out when we booked our package? Thanks, Kathleen

    Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I am excited that you are planning a Walt Disney World vacation this year! I love using a MagicBand as my key to "the World" when I am on my Walt Disney World vacations. I have over 50 MagicBands, so you can see that I love them! 

    I am excited, just like you are, about MagicBand+ which is scheduled to come out this year (2022). The launch date for MagicBand+ has not been announced yet, but I would keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements for the roll-out of MagicBand+. Unfortunately, you would not be able to get the same discount rate on the MagicBand+ as when you booked your original package, but if you purchase the new MagicBand+ when they come out, you should be able to use both types of MagicBands on your next Walt Disney World vacation.

    I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!
