Are there any good guidebooks that you suggest that has good information? I have been researching this trip for months and its overwhelming. We have our tickets and transportation just need insights on the parks, food, coupons, savings, etc.

    Hi Misty!

Planning a Walt Disney World vacation can be almost as much fun as experiencing one! While it can feel overwhelming with all of the options available for your trip, once you get the basics of lodging, tickets and meals ironed out, it's really quite simple. Be sure to check out the link on the Disney Website for "Planning Your First Trip" and peruse the Frequently Asked Questions section.

Two great unofficial websites for cost savings and meal planning are www.mousesavers.com and www.allearsnet.

You can pick up several guidebooks at your local library for review and to determine which ones you might wish to purchase and have on hand during your trip. Popular options include: Birmbaum's Walt Disney World, Passporter's Walt Disney World and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Walt Disney World.

Lastly, don't forget to request your free "1st Visit" celebration button at any Guest Services location inside the theme parks for special recognition from other guests as well as Disney Cast Members!

Thanks for taking the time to visit us at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions our way in the days leading up to your trip! May your FIRST Disney vacation be practically perfect in every way!
