Hiya, Michaela! I am thrilled to welcome you back to planDisney, especially to talk about
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It's my favorite place to
be-headed every fall! It gives me chills to think about you and all the (not so) Foolish Mortals celebrating the season at
Walt Disney World Resort, too. I'm keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as we are creeping up to halfway to Halloween, and it reveals all the secrets we are dying to hear. It won't be long before we get a
shriek peek into all the ghoulish treats coming our way.
While the grim, grinning ghosts may declare this to be their holiday, the spirit of Lilo & Stitch still prevails. 'Ohana! No one gets left behind or forgotten.
My kids bring their own treat bags but that is solely because they are Mickey Mouse ghost bags we got at this party when they were little goblins, and they just became part of our tradition. You are welcome to bring your own bag, but I can assure you that your little one will be given one by any of the Bats (an affectionate term for the Cast Members dressed in their awesome outfits for the Halloween party) at the candy stations. Seriously, just answering this question for you has goosebumps on my arms. Everything will put a little flutter in your heart.
Here are a few other tips that may be helpful as you plan your time at the party.
A party ticket usually lets you enjoy
Magic Kingdom Park a few hours before the party starts, around 4 p.m. If this is the case this year, I would wait a little while to enter the park unless meeting Jack and Sally from A Nightmare Before Christmas is a priority. There is a huge rush right at that time that may exhaust your little Mouseketeer's patience. Even waiting a half hour or 45 minutes could make getting into the park shorter. I love being there when the official party time starts, usually around 7 p.m. The Haunted Mansion Host echoes throughout the park as he welcomes you. It is awesome!
If you can, make time for a midday break and a nap. The party goes late into the night, so showing up refreshed and ready to party is key to making the most of it all.
In past years, the Headless Horseman has kicked off
Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade. It will leave you breathless (in a good way). Make sure to grab a spot on the parade route early for a glimpse at this haunting spectacle. I love being near Cinderella Castle and watching him go around the circle leading into Main Street, U.S.A.
Michaela, if you have any other questions as you plan a magical trip with your little Mouseketeer, you know you have a friend in
planDisney!
Boo To You!
